ABOUT US
Equity Bridge Nepal
We are committed to promoting educational equity in Nepal. Our mission is to empower first-generation, low-income students by dismantling the information barriers that prevent them from thriving in Nepal's formal sector. We believe that every student deserves access to quality education, role models, and the financial literacy skills needed to make informed decisions. By addressing these critical gaps, we aim to reduce the cycle of under-representation and empower students to contribute to Nepal’s growing economy.
Our Approach
At Equity Bridge Nepal, we recognize the systemic challenges faced by students from under-resourced communities, such as the lack of role models and financial literacy and soft skills. Our approach is to work closely with NGOs, nonprofits, and government agencies to develop mentorship programs, build interactive financial literacy and soft skill modules, and ensure that learning outcomes translate into tangible, real-world success. Through these efforts, we aim to create a generation of role models, help students make smart financial decisions, and equip them with the soft skills needed to thrive in the workplace.

Mission to Achieve
Project Sapana (सपना)
Project Sapana, initiated under the Davis Project for Peace in 2022, represents our mission to address educational inequity through a comprehensive and innovative approach. We partnered with Nepali tech companies (F1Soft, GrowByData, and Bhoos) to provide vital digital literacy, soft skills, and financial literacy training to students in Kankali Secondary School. Following this intensive training, students embarked on externships that ranged from shadowing and hearing from entry-level engineers to senior executives. This broad spectrum of experience provided them with a comprehensive overview of career opportunities available within Nepal, laying a strong foundation for their future endeavors. The project's success, highlighted by significant student progress and national recognition, serves as a powerful model for expanding our impact through strategic initiatives.
Project Sapana (Phase II):
Teacher Training Sessions
Our teacher training sessions, developed under the same visionary framework as Project Sapana in 2023, focus on enhancing the educational capabilities of teachers at Nepali public schools. This initiative trains educators in effective methods of teaching financial literacy and soft skills in their day-to-day classes, crucial for preparing students to navigate the complexities of today’s economic landscape. By empowering teachers with these specialized skills, the project aims to create a ripple effect, enriching the learning experiences of students from under-resourced backgrounds. The success of our teacher training sessions, evidenced by improved student performance and engagement among our teachers' cohort, demonstrates the effectiveness of our approach. Project Sapana has not only validated our approach but also inspired us to broaden our scope and deepen our impact on educational equity.
